Oil palm is one of the plantation sub-sector commodities that plays a strategic role in the national economy. Palm oil can be found in biodiesel, food and cosmetics. This paper examines the crude palm oil (CPO) supply chain within the biodiesel trading scheme to assess the role of independent oil palm smallholders in the supply chain.
